This $5 Billion joint venture is located in the Xin Zhuang Industrial Zone, Min Hang District, Shanghai. The total planned area is 1.2 million square meters. The land for the first phase stretches 200 thousand square meters, the architecture area is 160,000 square meters, including the clean room of 80,000 square meters, and the green space covers 30% of the total area. The total investment of the completed first phase is 114.6 billion Japanese Yuan. The panels and modules produced are used for LCD monitors, notebooks, PCs, LCD TVs, and so forth. Company Structure

As a sub-micron grade superfine processing industrial project, the company has not only a very strict clean requirement for the production environment, but also concerns for the surrounding environmental protection.
The production area of the company is equipped with a purified air conditioning system and all the waste water for the living and production are treated and drained. The used acid, alkali, organic solvents, etc., are collected respectively and stored in special containers, which are then treated by the specialized plants.
The plant uses a comprehensive water utilization system, clean water cycling system, chemical liquid re-cycling utilization method, to upgrade the utilization rate. The plant building uses new materials for keeping the room and roof temperature, so as to reduce the energy consumption of the plant building. The plant is located on Hua Ning Road of the Zhui Xing Road of Xin Zhuang Industrial Zone, in Min Hang District, Shanghai. The total occupied area is 1.2 million square meters, including the land for the first phase which spreads 200 thousand square meters. The land for the second phase is 700 thousand square meters and the remaining land is reserved for glass and color filter manufacturers etc. that will be built later. The plant area for the first phase consists of the office building, array workshop, cell workshop, module workshop, mechanical and power station, waste water treatment workshop and central transformation station, etc.; the total architecture area is 160 thousand square meters. 
Based on the current existed products, the company will speed up the product development, adapting to the market needs for a variety of specifications and kinds of products. Before 2005, new models of liquid crystal display panels, such as 15-inch 16ms, 15-inch PSWG, and 17-inch 12ms will be put into production. In addition, the company will expedite the development of new products, for example, 19- inch panel, 26/ 27- inch TV panels, etc. |
